MEEKER | Meeker’s RBC Livestock Judging Team traveled to Logan County in Sterling, Colorado. to compete at the NJC Sterling Invitational Livestock Judging Contest. Representing the team on the Junior side were Hattie Brennan and Klayton Carroll and on the Senior side was Elijah Rundberg, with coaches Clint Shults and Kari Brennan. A full “marking” team consists of four judges so our kids combined efforts with other counties to make full teams and had a very successful weekend. Between the three kids from RBC, their names and our county were called a total of 10 times. Klayton Carroll placed seventh High Individual Junior in swine.
Hattie Brennan, Klayton Carroll and their combined Junior team placed fifth High Junior Team in swine, second High Junior Team in beef, fourth High Junior Overall Team in reasons and fifth High Overall Junior Team. Elijah Rundberg and his combined Senior team placed fifth High Senior Team in swine, fifth High Senior Team in sheep and goat, third High Senior Team in beef, fourth High Overall Senior Team in reasons, and third High Overall Senior Team. These kids and their coaches would like to thank Northwest Auto Sales and Service and Humalfa Organic Fertilizer for supporting them this season.
